Death is a problem of the living (WT)
Project for a cinema documentary

Three-day trip on a cruise ship across the Mediterranean. On a pleasure boat almost 2,000 passengers sail through the same water space that countless refugees are trying to cross from the opposite coast in the direction of Europe. The excessive oversupply of entertainment options and the constant confrontation with trivial decisions (please choose your preferred aroma for the soap in your bathroom: lavender, rose, vanilla, Oriental Dream) act like a shrill distraction to keep the passengers away from such thoughts .
T he camera assumes the role of observer and gradually grants the viewer insights into various sceneries on board. The sound level is dominated by an over-voice laid over the original background acoustics, which guides the viewer through what is happening on the board. It is a construction made up of single words and short phrases. The source material for this comes from recordings of the former entertainment show “Go to the Whole".
DIALOG
Long-term film project

"Bucharest" is a documentary essay or a travelogue. About the cliched expectations of tourists from the west towards the east and how these are served by the organized tourism structures. On the one hand, the interview scenes - mainly with the father - conducted in an intimate setting and on the other hand the off-screen dialogues designed as a language course, create a depiction of stereotypical ideas about the East in addition to the family portrait.
An attempt at an amoral social criticism.
